Public Notice - Tax Cap override for 2027

PUBLIC NOTICE

TOWN OF EATON

PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that the Town Council of the Town of Eaton will hold a public hearing on October 13, 2026 at 6:05 p.m., or as soon thereafter as may be heard, at the Town of Eaton municipal offices, 35 Cedar Street, Morrisville, New York, to consider a proposed local law entitled, “A local law authorizing a property tax levy in excess of the limit established in General Municipal Law section 3-c for the 2027 fiscal year.” This local law is intended to authorize the Town of Eaton to exceed the tax levy cap otherwise provided under New York State law for the Town’s 2027 budget and fiscal year. A complete copy of the proposed local law is available for review at the office of the Town Clerk during the Clerk’s regular business hours. All interested persons will be heard on this matter at this public hearing.
